Samwoojung, a locally celebrated bulgogi house of Seoul, first opened its doors in 1963 near Seoul’s city hall.
Since then, Samwoojung has been a beloved destination for diners seeking the Seoul-style bulgogi experience for over half a century.

The bulgogi at Samwoojung is marinated in a carefully crafted artisan soy sauce infused with Korean bamboo salt,
following a family recipe that captures the essence of Seoul-style bulgogi.
Distinguished by its flavorful broth-like sauce served in a distinctive dome-shaped copper vessel.

HAND Hospitality has poured years of dedication into perfecting the plan of bringing this historical restaurant to the U.S. for the first time. We strive not just to recreate its original recipe, but to capture the essence of its authentic dining experience.
We are thrilled to finally introduce Samwoojung and its iconic dish to you.

Our doors will be open in June 2023, and we can’t wait for you to come and try the first original Seoul style bulgogi in New York City.
